Philadelphia University accounting school : Any information appreciated.?
I'm interested in accounting and I was told that Philadelphia University in Pennsylvania had a good program. Could anyone give me any information about the University and the accounting program? I'd be living there and was also interested in the housing situation. Thank you all in advance for any help.

The same were ever you go to be honest with you. Same thing different location.. Look at crime rates int he individual areas.. Philidelphia is merely lost to drugs and crime.. they have a very high sex crime thing near colleges The rest are the same crime in every major city but Some parts of philly are nice to live.. The same as the other cities. Your better off moving to a small town outside of one of those cities and putting you kid in a smaller school with less class mates and more attention! Private school is about 300 a month and you can right it off on your taxes! This way you can look up parents rating that attend the school.

How long can it take to get CHIP health coverage for my 2 year old in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania?

How long can it take to get CHIP health coverage for my 2 year old in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania?
Also I live with my parents and go to school full time. Someone told me that can impact if I get the insurance or not because I have to give me parents information and how much money they make a year. But the thing is they don't support my daughter. I pay for my schooling and I support my daughter. I just live in their household and I do pay a monthly allowance or you can say boarding fee to live there.

you definitely need to specify that you pay to live there.. and your not getting no freebies... but they're going to want a letter from your parents stating how much you give them each month and what not. I live in PA too .. delco.. and I applied for chip while still living at my fathers house but i stated that I pay rent for a downstairs apartment... so they did my income and said i make too little money to be on chip... hahaha.. (not funny at the time) i was highly p.o'd, i got all hype cuz the commercial says "no kid is uncovered" they then stated they sent my info to the public assistance office and I got better than ChiP insurance for my baby boy!!... Maybe try going to the welfare office and applying for assistance, but you really have to be paying rent and all that nonsense.. cuz they'll catch you lying if your not careful. O and it took 15 days after they received it to give me a result.

We had the NY version a while back when I lost my job and before we moved back to PA. I don't think you will have a problem as long as you think of the allowance as rent and list it as such. You shouldn't have to list your parents income as long as you have your own income and are not taking money from them. Also your parents should not be claiming you as a dependant on their income tax. As long as you have your own income and list your rent payments along with any other bills you pay everything should be fine and it shouldn't take long at all to get coverage. Once you apply for coverage you can take you child to a ER for anything major then submit the bills to the carrier once you get the cards in the mail. Good luck!

Where did George H. Logan teach school in Philadelphia?
George Herbert Logan, Sr. was a teacher in the public school system in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from around 1949 to 1960. He was also enlisted in the Air Corps during WWII. If this was true he also may have been an original Tuskegee Airman. Is anyone related to or have any information relating to him. He passed away in 1982.
